nada hope or nothing
in colaboration with yupanqui ramos
nada, hope, or nothing is an installation inspired by richard berengarten’s poem of the same title. this work features three large cocoons suspended in a stairwell, symbolizing not only the blue butterflies of srebrenica but also all the genocides, all the nations erased or attempted to be erased from history. through a haunting combination of sound and sculpture, where voices merge as they recite the poem, the installation reflects on humanity’s inability to learn from past atrocities. the work calls attention to the repetition of historical mistakes and the silence in the face of ongoing conflicts around the world.

360°, or dance of the caterpillar, is an interactive installation exploring themes of transformation, memory, and collective experience. this project, which draws inspiration from the caterpillar's life cycle, invites participants to step inside a cocoon-like structure as a representation of both personal and social metamorphosis. through the interplay of sound, space, and interaction, the work creates a reflective environment where visitors can reconnect with forgotten memories and engage in new dialogues. "360°" emphasizes the cyclical nature of change and the shared journey of renewal.

memories of a forced world traveller is a collective, immersive installation that reflects on the connections between people, places, and shared stories. over time, i gathered used tea bags from different individuals, each representing a unique relationship and personal story. together, we cleaned and stitched these tea bags into a large, circular curtain, allowing visitors to step inside. the installation invites participants to engage with the colors, traces, and scents left by the tea, creating a sensory experience that evokes memories of connection, migration, and belonging. it is not just about the material, but about the stories and bonds that were woven together in the process.

archein is an exploration of the biased nature of archives and the ways in which history is often written by those in power. in this project, I created a porcelain book with words like "history" and "identity" cut out, leaving empty spaces where the letters once were. as the book opens and closes, the cut-out letters attempt to fit back into their spaces but often fail, breaking in the process. this fragile interaction symbolizes how archives and historical narratives shape our identities, imposing nationalistic and ideological constructs that may ultimately prove false or incomplete. archein invites viewers to reflect on how the gaps and silences in official history can fracture our understanding of self and collective memory.

berlin conversations is a multilingual exploration of identity, space, and belonging within the urban landscape of berlin. this project examines what it's like to be a woman, a migrant, and an individual navigating the complexities of urban life in the spirit of henri lefebvre's concept of the "right to the city." i mapped out my personal relationship with the city by writing my thoughts and feelings in three languages, filling in the areas where i spend the most time with dense text, forming a unique map of berlin. the project highlights how the spaces we occupy are shaped by our lived experiences, and how our identities, languages, and movements become intertwined with the city itself.

line / eşik explores the concept of choice, consequence, and the delicate nature of crossing boundaries. For this installation, I created porcelain tiles and placed them at the entrance of the exhibition space. Visitors, in order to enter the exhibit, were faced with a dilemma: step on the fragile tiles and shatter the artwork or remain outside, preserving it. The project challenges the audience with the tension between action and inaction, confronting them with questions of destruction, participation, and the unavoidable breaking of thresholds—both physical and metaphorical.

traces/lines is an exploration of the marks we leave on the world, both visible and invisible. through the lens of photographer danial, this project traces the complex and intertwined lines that connect landscapes, people, and moments. his photographs reveal the contradictions of life: serene, open spaces juxtaposed with the invisible barriers that confine individuals. the poetic reflections of matt donovan, whose verses resonate with the lines captured by the camera, enrich the work.
In traces/lines, the world is seen as a web of connections—where surfaces, emptiness, and light interact, and where every trace tells a story. this online exhibition is part of the broader project hidden statements, inviting viewers to reflect on the lines that define our experiences and the spaces we inhabit from the comfort of their own screens.
as part of my curatorial practice, i have organized a series of city walks in berlin, with some walks curated independently and others in collaboration with shared walks. these curated walks invite participants to experience the city from new perspectives, encouraging them to engage with their surroundings and fellow walkers in a more mindful and intentional way. each walk is a unique journey, offering an opportunity to see the city through different eyes, shaped by the diversity of the group and the shifting dynamics of the urban environment.
the walks culminate in a collaborative art-making process where participants reflect on their experiences by creating a collage together. this shared artistic expression not only captures the essence of the walk but also fosters a deeper connection between the participants and the spaces they explore.

artists studio visits
as part of my curatorial practice, I organize a series of thoughtfully curated atelier visits to artists' studios across berlin. these visits offer a rare opportunity for participants to step into the creative spaces of artists, allowing for a closer examination of their works and working environments. each visit is carefully designed to present a diverse range of artistic styles, mediums, and perspectives, providing an immersive and enriching aesthetic experience.
the goal of these visits is not only to observe the art but to foster meaningful dialogue between the artists and participants. through these intimate gatherings, attendees can gain deeper insights into the artists' creative processes, their inspirations, and the narratives behind their works. each session fosters a more intimate relationship between the artist and the work of art by fostering a relaxed atmosphere for further discussion.
